Nigerian bride
Similar to Tanzania, Nigeria is a big country where different ethnic groups reside. Therefore, the wedding ceremonies, as well as other traditional ceremonies, change according to the region. One thing that stays the same within every group is the wedding dress. The bride’s dress is one of the most important elements in every wedding around the world, not only in Nigeria.
Around the African country, brides often wear bright, colorful colors on their wedding day, coupled with the traditional Nigerian head scarf called Gele. They are often large and elaborate, and even more so on the woman’s wedding day (as can be seen in the photo). Another aspect that almost all ethnic groups around the country share is that the bride and groom often match their wedding attire.
