We Aren’t Werewolves
Like some other assumptions on this list, it’s easy to understand why someone would think this was the case. Periods happen once a month, and so does the full moon. There may even be a small kernel of truth in this! By small, I mean very, very small.

There was recently a study of 22 women done, and though it changed as the women aged, the moon cycle did seem to influence their menstrual cycle to a certain extent. It’s also crucial that the person have a cycle lasting 27 days or more. Otherwise, it’s a moot point. Still, with a study sample so small, the findings are in question.
