Mirror, Mirror
Ever since mirrors became commonplace, there have been a ton of myths about them. Some folktales have mirrors as portals to other worlds. In contrast, other stories claim that our evil doppelgangers live in them. Even most interior designers will recommend not sleeping with a mirror opposite or directly facing your bed.

But don’t think about trying to break one – some superstitions claim that breaking a mirror will cause you seven years of bad luck! However, there are also scientific reasons for not sleeping with a mirror. In fact, having a mirror by the bed is the leading cause of insomnia, so you’re best putting it elsewhere.
