Darn Bots
When the PlayStation 5 came out, everyone and their mothers were excited about ordering the new console online. Brick-and-mortar retailers didn’t have as many consoles in stock as online stores, so the best hope anyone had of actually getting a PS5 for Christmas was by shopping on the internet.
Sadly, people who waited for hours before the online shops opened experienced nothing but stress and anguish. Bots took over the stores and ordered every single console in stock. This forced gamers to either pay a marked-up price to purchase a PS5 from scalpers or to wait for the next shipment.
