Why Do Plane Windows Have Tiny Holes?
Glass is not the same as airplane windows. Although airplanes usually have transparent windows, glass isn’t one of them. Three layers make up a plane window. If someone were to bang on it, the innermost layer might be composed of plastic, so it cannot be broken.
People are sometimes concerned about the middle layer of glass, which has small holes. Don’t be concerned; the spot is intended to be there. If the outermost pane of glass fractures, the gap acts as a valve, ensuring that the second window layer remains intact.
