Iron
The old days were not much easier. In the past, ironing freshly washed clothes was a very difficult job, owing to their weight. Irons in the 1900s were built of heavy materials, most notably cast iron, and had to be heated on top of stoves after being filled with coal.
In the beginning, their designs were very different from what they are today, as well as how simple they were to use. Nonetheless, for their period, they did an excellent job.
