Every generation has its eccentricities. For boomers, they have a morbid fascination with death. And newspaper clippings of obituaries. If you don’t find news of someone passing on the internet, boomers will make sure you know about it when you get home.

The older generation collects newspaper clippings like millennials collect crushing debt. Scrapbooks are chock full of them. Your grandparents probably still skim the local newspaper’s obituary section to see who recently croaked. Why they enjoy leaving obituary clippings on your bureau is a mystery to this day. It’s like a breadcrumb trail catered for boomers.
