#34: The Greatest YouTube Hits

Apparently, boomers get a kick out of referring to YouTube “views” as “hits.” Why? Perhaps their relationship to music has something to do with it. Or it might be their weird relationship with technology. Who are we to say? Either way, it’s quite amusing, and we mean that in the best possible way.

Now, this is pure speculation, but maybe the boomer generation has adopted “hits” into their vernacular because of music. Admittedly, some of the greatest music of all time was released during the boomers’ heyday. It was not uncommon to own a record or cassette tape with an artist’s “greatest hits” on it. Or they’re secretly hitmen and their next target is YouTube.
