Fingerprint-Free Fingers
Now, this “fact” isn’t technically true. Babies begin developing fingerprints in the womb long before they’re even born. At the 23rd week of pregnancy, ridges will begin to form in the hands, palms, and soles of the unborn fetus, which are the foundations for unique prints later on in life.
However, after birth, these ridges are so fine and shallow that attempting to fingerprint them would result in a blurry blob of ink. Only after six months can you properly record their prints, though some babies fully develop fingerprints after 12 to 18 months. Don’t use your newborn baby as an accessory to commit a crime!
