In some countries, it’s nearly impossible to avoid parking in public without paying a parking fine. Sometimes, you need to park several blocks away from your destination, and you can’t run to the parking meter every five minutes to feed it coins.

To avoid parking fines, this car owner decided to give himself a parking ticket. This would deter a legitimate meter maid from giving him a real ticket if the meter was in the red.
