The unintentional switcheroo
There’s a lot to unpack in this story. First, you should know that there were two employees with identical names (we’ll call them #1 and #2 for simplicity’s sake). Even though they had unique employee ID numbers, the company only searched for their names come payday.
Anyway, although #1 was working diligently, he wasn’t receiving any payment. Apparently, all of #1’s money was being transferred to #2’s bank account, so #1 quit. After learning of the mistake, the company rehired #1. However, security issued him the wrong badge (#2’s badge), so #1 continued to clock in for #2. Again, #1 was not paid! It took three months to finally sort everything out.
