1. Prague, Czech Republic

Considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltava river, the city is home to approximately 1.4 million people. Prague has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters.

2. Newfoundland, Canada

With an area of 42,031 sq mi,, Newfoundland is the world’s 16th-largest island. Gros Morne National Park is located on the west coast of the island. In 1987 it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its stunning scenery. It is the largest national park in Atlantic Canada and is a popular tourist destination.

Montréal is the largest city in Canada’s Québec province. Located on an island in the Saint Lawrence River, it is named after Mt. Royal, the mountain at its center. Notable attractions include the 185-acre Montreal Botanical Gardens with 10 large greenhouses – each tailored to a specific theme and the Jean-Talon Market which is one of the largest public markets in North America.

Located on the southernmost tip of the African continent, South Africa includes several distinct ecosystems. Kruger National Park, populated by big game, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. The Western Cape offers beaches and lush winelands. Look for craggy cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the flat-topped Table Mountain next to Cape Town.

8. Medellin, Colombia

Nicknamed the “City of Eternal Spring” for its mild weather, Medellín is the capital of Colombia’s mountainous Antioquia province. It is connected to surrounding areas by a system of cable cars which provide lovely views of the Aburrá Valley. Sculptures by Colombian artist, Fernando Botero, decorate downtown’s Botero Plaza. The city is famous (among other things) for its annual Flower Festival.
