#7: Stuck in the 1960s
It’s hard to believe that the minimum wage is still stuck at $7.25 when it should be at least $25 by now… It’s time for the government to stop clowning around and start taking workers’ rights seriously. If the minimum wage had increased at the rate of productivity since 1960, things would look very different right now.
But instead, we’re left with a wage that’s barely enough to cover the cost of a Happy Meal. It’s time to change the stance related to minimum wage and give workers the fair pay they deserve. So let’s start demanding change and fighting for a living wage. Because, at the end of the day, no one should have to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet.
