No Media Allowed at the Christening
A royal christening is typically a fairly private affair. Only guests are allowed inside the church to watch the christening. At the same time, traditionally, the media has been allowed to stand outside and take photos of the family afterward. This serves as a quick way to keep the public informed and involved in the royal’s lives.
As we’ve seen, for better or worse, Harry and Meghan are not the typical royals. While they agreed that the christening should be a private affair, they disagreed about how private it should be. Harry and Meghan didn’t want any media there, period. The only (public) proof of the christening is two images on the couple’s social media feed.
