If the Earth had rings
Wouldn’t it be cool if our planet had rings like Saturn or even Jupiter’s faint dust ring? Scientists theorized that our planet doesn’t have rings because all of the dust coalesced into a mass that we now call the moon. It’s a shame that we can’t have both like Saturn.
But if our planet did have rings like Saturn around the equator, it would look something like this. People in Ecuador might just see a faint straight line popping up from the horizon. Other people on different parts of the planet would see something a lot more breathtaking, including our planet’s shadow.
