The Unique Turtle
Albinism can occur in any animal species, which means that it is theoretically not that uncommon when considering all animals on the planet. However, if we limit ourselves to turtles, it’s not every day that we see an albino turtle like this one in the tropics.
We can’t help but wonder if this turtle’s albinism aids or hinders its survival in the water. Is it a more attractive target for predators? Less? We’re asking the big questions here, but regrettably, we’re not receiving any answers.
