Texas Overshadowing Europe
It’s a common misconception that everything in Texas is on a grander scale, but how big exactly is the Lone Star State? This poster on social media claims that the size of the state known as the Lone Star is comparable to that of the entire continent of Europe. Is this Texan, who seems to be overly confident, correct?
The majority of statistics indicate that the European continent covers a total area of 3,930,000 square miles, whereas Texas only comprises approximately 268,597 square miles. To the credit of the poster, a number of smaller states and countries in Europe could very easily be contained within an area of land equal to that of Texas.
