Is it just us, or does this sound like a plotline from a movie or a TV show? On TV they make it seem so easy to lie about having a college degree, but apparently, people in real life do it too. It’s one of those things TV shows should advertise with a warning- “don’t try this at home”. Of course, people are going to try it!

And for some people, it works. Apparently, this Reddit user had a teacher who always used to encourage his students to cheat if they had the chance and could get away with it (provided they were good liars). They later found out he was a master liar – he actually lied to the school about having an M.A. in order to get a raise – and got away with it for ten years!
