#17: How to Hack Your Happiness
Being happy is something we all want, but as we all know, being happy all the time – or even most of the time – is not that easy. Or at least, not as easy as we’d like. However, there are small habits we can bring to our daily lives to increase our happiness. This chart goes over different chemicals our bodies produce which can naturally increase our happiness.
We can naturally release oxytocin, the love hormone, by simply playing with a dog or hugging your family. We can release endorphin, our body’s pain killer, by laughing or exercising. Dopamine is produced doing self-care activities and eating delicious food, and serotonin, which can stabilize our moods, is produced through sun exposure, running, and meditating.
