Visually Impressive: Dubai
In the beginning, Dubai, which is now the capital of Dubai, was a small fishing village. It was once a humble farming and fishing community, but over time it developed into a concrete, metal, and glass monstrosity that is home to many luxurious skyscrapers. A large number of hotels with five stars, as well as the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest structure in the world, contribute to the city’s status as a popular tourist destination.
However, that is primarily what it is: an impressive display of visuals. Underneath the surface of all those fancy buildings is a place that frequently gives off the impression of being soulless and dull. This is especially the case when so many of its attractions are shopping malls that all contain the same overpriced luxury shops.
