Not For Everyone: Shanghai
One of the most populous cities in China, Shanghai is located on the banks of the Yangtze River. It is also the city with the highest population in the world! Even though it started out as a fishing village, due to its advantageous location for business, it developed into a major city very quickly.
However, if you are planning a trip to China and are interested in experiencing a culture that is less influenced by the city, you should not go to Shanghai. We recommend that you leave the city and go on an adventure into rural China if you are interested in seeing more landscapes and agricultural cultures but are less impressed by impressive buildings.
