Hummingbird Tree
Hummingbirds are freaks of nature, and we mean that in the nicest way possible. They eat about half their body weight in bugs and nectar every 15 minutes. They have to do this, otherwise they won’t have the energy to flap their tiny wings up to 15 times a second. If they learned to chillax once in a while, maybe they wouldn’t need to gorge themselves four times in an hour.
But these aren’t actually hummingbirds, in case you didn’t know. These are flowers that bloom in the shape of hummingbirds. Maybe these trees evolved to attract hummingbirds and spread their nectar around town. Gross.
