Quartz Is Worth That Much?
We read an online article a few years back about how some man stumbled upon a humungous chunk of quartz. Two years after he took it home, he got it appraised, and his jaw dropped when he learned that it could sell for $3.5 million.
The man and a team of diggers feed the rock using nothing but hand tools before machine-lifting out and carrying it back to his home. While this was definitely a happy surprise to the man, what surprised everyone was that this chunk of quartz was only the second-most expensive ever found. The most expensive was a 3,000-pound formation that measured nine feet across.
