Homemade saline solution
Although we get cuts all the time, we can always rely on a good ole first-aid kit for our wound-cleaning needs. But what happens when you don’t have any iodine or hydrogen peroxide to clean an open wound? Apparently, if you have water, some salt, and some sort of heating element, then you’re pretty much covered.
To make your own saline solution, you need to mix 0.9% of salt into water. Or, to simplify matters, put half a teaspoon of salt into a cup of water and boil it with the lid on. After 15 minutes, let the solution cool, and voila! You have a homemade saline solution!
