There is a reason your refrigerator has drawers and compartments in different areas of the fridge. This is to help guide you to properly store your fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy. These drawers and shelves have slightly different temperatures and control moisture levels.
One of the biggest mistakes you could make is storing your meat with your vegetables in a crisper drawer. This is for two reasons. For one, the meat can leak and cross-contaminate with your vegetables, potentially making them inedible. Second, you do not want to dry out your meat in the crisper.
