Michelle Jenneke
Michelle Jenneke is undoubtedly a talented hurdler hailing from Australia, but she rose to fame in the most unusual way. In 2012, videos of her pre-race warmup ritual went viral on YouTube, receiving over 19 million views in just one week. In her routine, all of her opponents had their eyes on the finish line, but Michelle was busy hopping up and down and smiling like she was the happiest person on the planet.
She “only” made one Olympic Games appearance, which was in 2016. There, she won 37th place in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 13.26 seconds. Her most recent hurdles appearance was in 2019 during the World Champions in Dubai, where she secured the 19th spot.
