#4: Ed Asner Now
After the sitcom ended, Asner carried Lou Grant into a dramatic spin-off, winning two more Emmys. He continued working steadily in television and film, voicing Carl in Pixar’s Up and appearing in Elf, The Good Wife, and Cobra Kai. His career spanned more than seven decades on screen.
Beyond acting, Asner served as president of the Screen Actors Guild and championed labor rights and social causes. He became known for his activism as much as his artistry. Asner stayed active well into his 90s and passed away in 2021 at age 91, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.
