#31: Patricia Heaton as Debra Barone, Everybody Loves Raymond
Debra Barone had one of the toughest jobs in sitcom history — surviving Everybody Loves Raymond. Between her nosy in-laws across the street, a husband who couldn’t say no to his mother, and three loud kids, Debra was the glue holding chaos together. Her exhaustion was hilarious because it was so real.

Patricia Heaton gave Debra just the right mix of sarcasm and sincerity. She made frustration funny, motherhood messy, and marriage honest. In an era of glossy sitcom families, Debra Barone’s eye-rolls and wine-glass wisdom felt refreshingly human. She wasn’t perfect — she was us.
