#25: The Invention of Gravity
In this photo, the last thing the commenter has to argue about is whether Newton invented or discovered gravity. We can see many other things wrong in this picture that have nothing to do with the invention of gravity! A lot of it has nothing to do with the lightbulbs, either. This is another one of those times when we can’t decide which is more silly—the original post or the comment.
Let’s just start with the computers, which weren’t even invented until 1822, well after the discovery of gravity in 1687. Or how about the fact that a tiny man is changing what appears more to be a vent than a lightbulb while hovering above the heads of his seated students? So many things are wrong with this photo.
