#67: Coney Island Crowds on the Fourth of July
Even if you have never been, everyone knows that there is something special about New York’s Coney Island. This excellent tourist marvel still exists today and garners crowds from all over the country. But there is something so unique about seeing an aerial view of this place in 1920.

For some reason, many of us seem to think the crowds these days are far worse than they once were, but this photograph proves that even the crowds in 1920 were terrible. Oh, how we long to be on this beach during this Fourth of July celebration all those years ago…
