#19: Please Smoke in Silence

In today’s modern world, there are very limited places where one can find a designated smoking area. More often than not these days, smoking in public areas is somewhat off-limits, and for good reason. Most of the time, there are signs everywhere showing smokers where they can and can’t smoke. In this case, an unusual request is attached.

As it is, the act of smoking isn’t a particularly loud thing. So when you see a sign asking for smokers to do so in quiet, you get a little confused. Granted, ‘aloud’ and ‘allowed’ sound the same, but their meaning is vastly different. When you try to declare your authority in an office space but make a very awkward spelling mistake, you might not live that one down.
