Getting the toy from your happy meal isn’t necessarily the best part of the experience these days, mainly because the toys can feel less than exciting. But once upon a time, the toys were out of this world, literally. These Transformer toys from the 1980s were the epitome of a good time at Mcdonald’s.

It is really clear that McDonald’s has invested less in their Happy Meal toys. I guess that’s ok, but once upon a time, it used to be very exciting. Imagine being able to actually play with your toys after you finish your meal and not just throw them away?
