#18: Treat Employees With Dignity and Respect
When this paramedic interviewed at their current company, they were told that all medics were paid based on a standard pay scale, depending on experience. They were promised that with their six and a half years of experience, they would be compensated fairly. However, he discovered that they’re actually the lowest-paid paramedic on the entire crew.
If this company wants to retain its staff and attract top talent in the future, they need to start treating its employees with some basic decency and respect. Fair compensation based on experience and qualifications shouldn’t be too much to ask for, right?
