#9: COVID Comebacks
On this next one, it’s actually not super clear how legitimate this review is. The reviewer thought the food had no flavor, something that the restaurant owner clearly disagreed with, but taste can be so subjective that it’s hard to say for sure what the real story is.
That question aside, what really cracks me up about this one is the owner’s sassy retort. The COVID-19 pandemic was horrific in many ways, but at least we’ve got this great comeback out of it: if someone thinks your food is bland, you can just ask, “Have you been tested for COVID?” (Also, how amazing would it have been if, underneath the owner’s reply, there was a reply from Holly saying she had gotten tested on his recommendation, and it turned out she did actually have Covid?)
