Times Mother Nature Reminded Us Who’s Boss

#10: Too Close for Comfort

This is a really sobering image that shows how dangerous fire can be. At first glance, this Subaru Outback looks like it has a bad DIY paint job. When you look closer, you see that the car paint has literally melted off of the back of the car, revealing the car’s metal body underneath.

This family car escaped out of Blue River, Oregon during the devastating fire of 2020. The heat from the fire melted the back of their car. It’s terrifying to think about how hot the flames must have been to do that. Thankfully it looks like whoever was in the car got out of Blue River safely, because they’re parked in a street of another town. Cars and material things can be replaced, but a life cannot.
