#16: National Parks Are National Treasures
Many places in the world don’t have access to beautiful, vast, and sacred national parks, forests, and mountain ranges like the ones that exist in the United States. It might not seem special because you grew up with it, but it is important to protect these areas.

Theodore Roosevelt was a man known for many things, but one of the legacies he left behind was the many national parks, forests, and public lands. Roosevelt himself brought more than 220 national reserves and over 230 acres of public land to fruition. These places can not be harmed, and we have his legacy to thank for that!
