#24: Meldrick Taylor
Taylor was famed for his heart. Blisteringly fast, he lacked knockout power and had to win through sheer courage, enduring counters to outwork opponents. He often fought through swelling and injuries without slowing. Taylor’s willingness to trade his own safety to win showed rare toughness beneath his speed and finesse.

In 1990, Taylor fought Julio César Chávez in a brutal unification bout. Despite absorbing hellish punishment, he kept throwing until the final seconds before being stopped controversially with only two seconds left. Though defeated, Taylor’s bravery and relentless effort against a feared champion showed astonishing toughness under fire.
