#14: Journalists And Activists Still Being Killed
Speaking out in Colombia can still cost a life. Reporters, human-rights workers, and community leaders are regularly threatened or murdered for exposing corruption, illegal mining, or land grabs. Many cases are never solved, leaving families without justice and entire regions silenced by fear.

The violence is worst in rural areas, where government protection rarely reaches. Activists continue their work despite the danger, driven by the hope of change. But for every voice that speaks out, another is forced into hiding, showing how fragile freedom remains in parts of Colombia.
