A Musical Mystery

This person had a magical musical moment at summer camp, but not in the way you might think. They vividly remember attending summer camp in 1978 because they were obsessed with the song “Breakfast in America” by Supertramp. They kept singing it at the top of their lungs, but no one knew what the heck they were singing.

The song is awesome, so our storyteller was utterly flabbergasted that no one had heard of it before. Were they just cooler than everyone else? Well, kind of. To their surprise, they didn’t hear the song played on the radio until a whole year later. Thankfully, they already knew every single word. Lapse of memory or psychic music abilities? You decide.
