Break Up Letter
On the surface, this is a straightforward breakup note that is not uncommon or particularly unusual. The author had had enough and is very blunt about wanting to end the relationship. There is no guessing, no list of things they don’t like about the other person, just short and simple.
That is until you get to the postscript. The author wrote, “No one has to know we were going together in the first place” which is a particularly harsh blow to the ego. She doesn’t just want the relationship to be over, she doesn’t want anyone to ever know it even happened.
