During the day, Jamie buried himself in his work, focusing on his duties in Iraq. But at night, when things grew quiet, his mind went back to that drawing. Who was the man standing with his wife and daughter? What was going on back home without him?
Letters from his family brought joy, but also confusion. Each one reminded him of their love, yet also hinted at something he couldn’t quite place. The more he tried to push the thoughts aside, the stronger and sharper they seemed to return.
