#36: Whoops!

Avid viewers of the Olympic figure skating competitions collectively cringe when a competitor misses their landing. The thought of skidding along all that rough and freezing ice creates a visceral reaction that we just can’t stop. This US competitor still managed to look classy while falling, though! Michelle Kwan retired in 2006, but not before taking home Bronze and Silver medals.

Ironically, she’s known as one of the cleanest competitors in the sport. She’s won five World Championships and ties with Carol Heiss for the most world titles. Even though she retired from competitions, she still participated as a commentator on Fox Sport 1 for the 2014 Olympics. She also won Sportswoman of the Year in 2003!
