#29: Levitation?!
This photo snapped mid-quadruple twist at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is everything we love about the sport. Figure skating moves are a world of their own, from double axels to the Charlotte spin. Olympic judges score by manipulating base values, which are different for each and every move.
For instance, the quadruple toe loop has a base score of 10.3, and judges award points for execution within a 6 point range. The best possible score for a quadruple toe loop is 13.3, while the worst is 7.3. All moves and their scores are tallied, and medals are awarded on overall performance scores.
