#23: Is She an Amazonian?!

This perfectly timed photo deserves a second look. This isn’t one long swimmer; it’s two! Mary Killman and Lyssa Wallace are Team USA competitors, though they’ve never placed. Killman teamed up with Mariya Koroleva in 2012, and they became the only USA synchronized swimmers to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics, landing a spot in the duet competition.

Killman has since joined a collegiate synchronized program at Lindenwood University. Lyssa Wallace is the assistant coach for the synchronized swimming team UIW Cardinals, after taking home silver in the Pan American Games in 2011.
