#18: Hands Up!
Paging Dr. Danijel Premuš! This dual citizen Croatian-Italian competitor has played for both countries but took home a silver medal for Italy in the 2012 London Games after leaving the Croatian team. Ironically, Italy lost gold to Croatia that year. He retired from the sport and went on to become a doctor!

Water polo is basically like playing soccer with your hands in a pool, with two teams of seven competing for four quarters to score goals. The highest number of goals wins the game! It’s been an Olympic men’s event since 1900 and an Olympic women’s event since 2000. It’s one the most demanding games to play, as its high contact and the added resistance of water play requires peak physicality.
