So, instead of going out to the store in the middle of the night (we assume), he worked with what he had. And surprisingly, it worked!

Why waste two batteries if one battery can do the job? We never even considered doing something like this, and here is this guy, years ahead of us. He must have been pretty determined to play video games that night. Of course, assuming the one battery won’t last long is safe, but that’s not the point.
