It is pretty cool when you share genes with someone famous in history when you yourself are a modern famous person living in the world. But what do you do when the person you are distantly related to happens to be one of the people who spearhead a dangerous altercation with the British parliament in the 1600s?

Well, for Kit Harrington that is his reality. He is a direct descendant of Robert Catesby, who was accused of creating the Gunpowder plot in 1605 to overthrow the English parliament because they declared that Catholics could no longer practice Catholicism. Catesby was eventually killed in a shootout with the parliament. Harrington even played Robert Catesby in the television series, Gunpowder.
