#18: Rotten Egg
I’ve heard a lot about rotten eggs. We all have. It’s such a cliche phrase nowadays, but I’ve never once seen one, and I honestly had no idea what they looked like. I would have been just as surprised as this poster was if I’d cracked one into a bowl. I wonder if it smells as bad as everyone says it does?
It turns out this egg was most likely the result of an infection in the oviduct and was probably bad before it was ever laid. There’s no other explanation with the rest of the eggs in tip-top shape and that soggy brown mess of a yolk floating in the middle. This might have ruined my appetite for eggs for good.
