Don’t Help Others With Their Work
Some offices encourage workplace collaboration and helping each other with projects, concepts, and even the delivery of solid work. After all, it is called teamwork. This is not the case in every country, however. And in Japan – you should never offer to help someone else with their job, even if they are struggling.
In doing so, you could indicate that you are gunning for their job, a big no-no in Japanese society. One might reasonably assume that helping someone with their work could make life easier. Be friendly, but also be careful in the workplace if you do not want to step on any toes.
