Valentine’s Day: The Sequel
At the beginning of this article, we explained how Christmas Eve and Christmas are holidays for lovers. However, the Japanese also celebrate Valentine’s Day to show their love for their husbands/wives/partners. In fact, there are two Valentine’s Days in Japan.
The first is on the regular date, February 14th. The second Valentine’s Day takes place exactly one month later on March 14th. In February, men give gifts to their lover, and in March, it’s the women’s turn to give a gift to a man. The value of the woman’s gift depends on the value of the man’s gift. So, gentlemen, if you want a Rolex on Valentine’s, make sure you get her a Rolex, too.
